Wheelchair Access

  • Wheelchair accessible (and companion) seats for Broadway In Boston shows are available through the Box Office or by calling Ticketmaster at 1.800.982.2787.
  • Wheelchair accessible (and companion) seats for Boston Ballet shows please call 617.695.6955.

Accessible bathrooms are available by elevator access in the Lower Lobby and the Mezzanine Lobby.

Hearing Impaired

The theatre is equipped with an infrared sound enhancement system. Headsets are available at no extra charge in the main lobby. ASL and Open-Captioned performances are scheduled for most Broadway productions. Call the theatre for more information and the schedule of these performances. TTY: 800-943-4327.

You can purchase Disability Access Tickets by calling 1-800-982-ARTS (2787). Please leave a detailed message including a day/evening phone number and specific information regarding what kind of special seating need you have. Tickets may also be purchased by email at ADABoston@BroadwayInBoston.com.

Visually Impaired

Special seating for the visually impaired is available through the Box Office or by calling the Disability Access line at 617.880.2419.  A large print program is also available. See house staff for more information.

AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE INTERPRETED PERFORMANCES

During ASL Interpreted performances, qualified Interpreters convey the story, dialogue and other elements to Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patrons. ASL section seats are available in the orchestra, permitting patrons to see both the stage and the Interpreters simultaneously.

OPEN CAPTIONED PERFORMANCES

During Open Captioned Performances, an electronic text display is placed to the side of the stage which shows what the performers are saying and singing while also describing any sound effects on stage for our Deaf and Hard of Hearing Patrons. AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES

During these performances, a specially trained describer will narrate what is happening on stage during pauses in dialogue. The describer uses a headset and microphone while our Visually Impaired patrons listen through an earpiece receiver.
